I have been remiss in blogging , but will now try to rectify with informative, and hopefully interesting babble. Wefings did the last of our spring series of boatshows in Pensacola. It was like old home week as many of our current and past customers came to visit and hang out a while in our C Dory display . As always the C Dorys and Orcas brought a crowd , even when the cookie cutter boat guys were wondering where the people were. We had some help from a “C-lebrity” . The infamous Byrdman [ of C Brats fame] was there with us spreading the joys of going slow and enjoying the ride . The fever was spread and I think Pat’s enthusiasm was infectuous. If you see him or communicate with him ,make sure to ask him “how fast does it go”?
On the local front , there have been lots of great fishing days here and a relentless Pompano bite on St George Island continues . I will be spending a short lunch on the Island today wading in the surf . I hear there was a good high tide bite yesterday and that is a 1;30p.m. event today , so Ill try to be there at the peak tide.
I have had the opportunity to go offshore a couple times since we returned from Pensacola and have done fairly well both times . Dave Lear [ editor of Saltwater Sportsman Magazine] was here to do a Test and photo shoot on the Skagit Orca 27 Charter Special that we have in stock . The “fishability “article will be out in the July issue . I am looking forward to it , I know Dave was impressed by the ride and fishability of the boat . He even let it slip out that it may have been one of the best Pilothouse boats he has ever ridden!!
That it for now
thanks
Marc
