We got a visit from Jeff, Andrew and Bruce from Ranger Tugs this week .We had a great opportunity to participate in local high level cultural activities and gained further knowledge of the inner workings of one of our most popular boat lines and the people that make them happen. In other words we ate great seafood , fished a little, and spent alot of time with the boats .
Ranger Tugs are one of our favorite boats here at Wefings and we are currently the only full service dealer in the Southeastern U.S. They build 2 models at this point , but will be expanding the line soon with some larger craft .
The 21 footer is a miniature Bristol Bay Alaskan Salmon Trawler design . It has a head , sink , stove and sleeping accommodations for 2 . It also has a very large cockpit with alot of comfortable seating . The neat part about this boat is that its surprisingly seaworthy and has a super low fuel burn with the 30 H.P. Yanmar diesel . It is about a 10 knot top end with a 8 Kt cruise . We try to keep one in stock here in Eastpoint . It is great for weekend outings or as an economical day boat .
Their 25 footer is the flagship of the line [till a bigger model is introduced] and has been extremely popular as a Trailerable Trawler. Its cabin is finished with Teak and Holly sole , a full galley and sleeping for 4 . It has all the comforts of a large trawler including heat and Air , a Mase 2.5 KW diesel generator, full head with shower , a full electronics package and is available with a cockpit enclosure and Kayak Racks for the roof . This boat will cruise at 15 Kts or so with the larger power option , and is a perfect boat for the cruising couple that wants a trailered boat with full amenities . We will be in Miami with a 25 Ranger Tug with a 150 H.P. motor [ new for '08] and we will be scheduling demos .Please call us to make arrangments if you are interested in these boats .We will also have one in the Atlanta Boat Show[ Jan 9-13] .
