Water Pumps

The service staff at Wefing's Marine also recommends you have the water pump checked and serviced every year. This involves dropping the lower unit off the motor, checking the impeller and liner of the water pump, replacing parts as needed and re-assembling the unit. The labor for this job varies depending on the size of the motor but usually is around 1.5 to 2 hours or $115 to $150 with the parts being anywhere from $25 to $60, depending on the motor.

We will not do this work unless you pre-approve it but we cannot stress strongly enough how important it is. No pump lasts forever and water pump failures during operation of the unit can be catastrophic to both the engine and the fishing trip.

We also offer a 10% reduction on all regularly scheduled warranty interval service done in our shop for original owners of motors that were purchased from Wefing's Marine.




All Prices represent parts and labor for job with no complications. Any complications developing during troubleshooting of your motor will be brought to your attention and you will be given options for how to proceed. Prices represent Base cost without tax and fees. Any carburetor cleaning or other problems caused by stale gas or non-use of engine will not be part of the quoted price and often requires additional labor to disassemble, clean and reassemble and adjust carburetors.
