The best time of year for a cruise !!

This is the weather window for fishing and cruising in comfort . The temps have reached the mid 70s and the persistent winds seem to have calmed down . It also a great time to get the boat ready for summer . We are ready to service your boat and motor , so come in before it gets too busy for quick service . Now is also a good time to shop for boats as we have clearance pricing on non current inventory and with the petroleum crisis , price increases for boats in ‘09 will probably average 10%.
Fishing should be good for the week with the inshore fishery waking up with nice trout,flounder and pompano here and willingly biting . The snapper [closed ] bite during the winter was amazing with everybody catching and hopefully releasing big red snapper . Its a shame that the fish police have such flawed data and are limiting our great Red Snapper fishery . From a casual fisherman’s observation the fishing has been getting better for the last ten years I have been here in this area which tells me that the rules of ten years ago were fine and working. They might consider that the price of fuel alone will keep alot of fish alive . Enjoy it while you can and we hope the Commercial fishermen and the Sport fishermen will work together to keep our fisheries open . Wefings has been involved with both groups for a very long time , and there is a heritage there that we cannot ignore .
